Executive Director
Kaushik Banerjee is the Executive Director at Mine Line, leading the company’s marketing and strategic initiatives with vision and clarity. Since 2002, when he joined as General Manager – Marketing, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s presence, strengthening customer relationships, and driving sustainable growth.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Kaushik combines deep market knowledge with a forward-looking approach. His leadership continues to inspire innovation, guide policy decisions, and expand Mine Line’s footprint in its core sectors.
Non-Executive Director
Inducted into the Board in 2024, Mr. Ananda Basu is a distinguished & senior legal professional with over 25 years of practice before the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta and various other judicial forums. Having served the Company in an advisory role for more than a decade, he brings a wealth of knowledge in legal, contractual, regulatory, compliance, and governance matters. His deep understanding of statutory frameworks and administrative law continues to provide the Board with strategic guidance and clarity on complex legal and policy issues.
General Manager - Product Development & Service
Snehasis Das serves as the General Manager – Product Sales & Service at Mine Line, where he leads the company’s engineering and service operations with distinction. With extensive experience spanning product management, customer engagement, and technical service delivery, he plays a decisive role in driving the engineering & service teams and ensuring seamless performance across product and service lines.
His expertise in managing complex engineering solutions and after-sales support has been instrumental in building lasting client trust. Combining strategic insight with deep technical knowledge, Snehasis continues to strengthen Mine Line’s market leadership and reputation for service excellence.
General Manager - Operations
Supriyo Dutta, General Manager – Operations at Mine Line, has been an integral part of the company for over three decades. With more than 30 years of experience, he brings unmatched industry knowledge and a steady commitment to the organization’s growth.
In his role, Supriyo oversees both marketing and operational functions, ensuring seamless coordination, efficiency, and continuous improvement across teams. His dedication and leadership have been central to driving Mine Line’s culture of operational excellence and long-term success.

These words guided Biren Mukerjee, a distinguished Mining Engineer and the driving force behind Mine Line Pvt. Ltd.
A graduate of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad (1947), and a holder of the First-Class Mine Manager’s Certificate, Mr. Mukerjee dedicated his career to improving underground mining safety in India. During his tenure as Inspector of Mines with the DGMS, he investigated mining disasters and identified unsafe imported electrical equipment as a leading cause of fatal gas explosions.
Determined to create indigenous solutions, he founded Mine Line Pvt. Ltd. in 1977 — pioneering India’s journey toward self-reliance in mining electrical systems. Today, his legacy continues to inspire innovation, safety, and national pride across every product that bears the Mine Line name.
Founder
A Mining Engineer holding a First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate, Birendranath Mukherjee graduated in 1947 from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He was the Chairman and Founder of Mine Line Private Limited in 1977. He had formidable experience in the field of underground mining, as Inspector of Mines at the DGMS. He was responsible for search, rescue and investigative operations after mining disasters.
Managing Director
Currently holding the post of Managing Director from 2002, Nandini Chakravarty joined Mine Line in 1978 as a partner, and was later inducted into the Board of Directors in 1991. A pioneering manufacturer of electrical equipment designed for hazardous atmospheres. With a rich legacy of 45 years, Mine Line has established itself as the market leader in flameproof mining electrical equipment. Nandini is one of the most recognized leaders in an industry that is principally male-dominated, breaking barriers and setting new standards. She is also a big advocate for gender equality in the mining industry, championing the cause of women's empowerment and inclusion.
Under her leadership, Mine Line has excelled in manufacturing a comprehensive range of electrical equipment tailored for mass production technology in underground mining. The company's portfolio includes projects. Several CM Projects, and one Longwall project, all equipped with Mine Line's reliable electrical equipment. The company has also collaborated with European firms such as SAIT of France, Bartec Sicherheits Schaltanlagen GmbH, Germany, BECKER Warkop, Poland, Becker Warkop of Germany and recently with Becker Mining, Germany showcasing its international presence and standards.
In 2014, Nandini Chakravarty received the MGMI Presidential Award and Gold Medal for her "Outstanding Contribution towards Mining Science," highlighting her significant impact on the industry. She has received many other recognitions and awards throughout her illustrious career, reflecting her dedication and excellence.
